| I picked a date
June 3rd. Why not the first? 10 year anniversary on the 31st and not going out til the second so I dont want to tell myself I wont smoke that night and end up actually smoking then be disappointed in myself. How many others have tried the "pick a date" attempt? Has it worked? |

Hi Mary'sgirl - I've picked a date every time, but quit sooner than those dates as I couldn't stand thinking about it and just wanted to get on with it. Congratulations on your decision to quit. I've been quit for about 2.5 months now after smoking for over 30 years. This is the longest I've ever quit for and don't ever want to go back. I miss it, though. We're here to support you too.
