Thumbs up Daily Check In Part II

It seems that very large threads cause a burden on our server. So, threads over 500 posts need to be closed, and started over.
Here's a link to the Daily Check In:
http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...-in-80195.html
And here's the last few posts from the thread, to facilitate it's continuation:

One Lady:
Yea Margo!!!

namommy, I understand those cravings. If you are anything like me, you are so close to the point where those cravings will start to subside. When I was just a hair over 2 months, my cravings were noticibly decreasing on a daily basis. I am not even at 3 months yet and I hardly have cravings at all any more. So, hang in there, you are through the toughest part, if you are anything like me that is. I sure hope so.

Good going Teach!!

Where's everybody else been?????

Let us hear from you.

Two months, two weeks, six days, 18 hours, 52 minutes and 58 seconds. 3191 cigarettes not smoked, saving $269.54. Life saved: 1 week, 4 days, 1 hour, 55 minutes.

See everyone Friday.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Ya know, I can't even begin to count the number of times I posted here on this forum that I was going to quit. And never made it past a day!
I was in the "contemplation" stage of my quit. Making public declarations about quitting, but, not quite there....
It is a part of my quit. I must honor that part as much as I do the last 5+ months of my successful quit. Because it all contributed to my success as of today.

Today, I am Five months, one week, six days, 10 hours, 31 minutes and 53 seconds smoke free. That's 6577 cigarettes not smoked, saving $1,808.36. Life saved: 3 weeks, 1 day, 20 hours, 5 minutes.

For all of it, I am grateful!

Shalom!

So, lets keep this baby going strong. We'll have a Part III; Part IV; Part V etc...

And to those of you whom we haven't heard from in a while, let's do hear from you, ok? :>)

Today, I am Five months, two weeks, 2 hours, 2 minutes and 7 seconds smoke free. That's 6603 cigarettes not smoked, saving $1,815.47. Life saved: 3 weeks, 1 day, 22 hours, 15 minutes.

OK, According to my 'thingy' on my computer.

1 month, 3 weeks, 4 days, 43 min.

I don't get it, I quit on a saturday night, so how come it's not lining up? Where am I missing something? Shouldn't it be 7 weeks? Where the heck did the 4 extra days come from? I hate math.

NaMommy, One month is usually 30 or 31 days, not 28. Therefore it doesn't line up when it calculates "1 month". I got the Quit Counter which I like very much, THANKS AUTUMN FOR THE LINK!!!!!!!! I like it very much, because everytime I look at it, it reminds me that I'm a nicotine addict. 55 days today!!!! Plus it also has milestones, buddy list and a lot of other cool options. Check it out!!!

Jen

Free and Healing for One Month, Twenty Five Days, 9 Hours and 9 Minutes, while extending my life expectancy 5 Days and 18 Hours, by avoiding the use of 1661 nicotine delivery devices that would have cost me $294.74.

(((((Laurie))))) You and I quit not too far apart. I know how incredibly hard some days are , and I too have had times of holding on by my fingernails. I promise you, it does get better. Hang in there - you're doing so great!

2 months smoke free today!! woo hoo.

Although we had a really great dinner, and alot of food, I did think how good a cigarette would be while sitting at the table with my coffee after. But, that thought passed quickly.

Emily and Laurie,
I'm glad you've gotten past those really tough times. And as Margo says, they DO get better....honest.

I am now Five months, three weeks, 1 hour, 55 minutes and 34 seconds smoke free. That's 6883 cigarettes not smoked, saving $1,892.42. Life saved: 3 weeks, 2 days, 21 hours, 35 minutes.

I'm not going to be around as much for a little while. Helping out my mom since she's gotten back to Newport from FL. But, I'll be stopping in as I can and once school is over (the 16th of June), it'll be much easier to get on and spend some time.
But, when I do get here, I wanna see all my friends. No clouds of smoke to hide behind!!!

Keep the quit and post before you puff!

Shalom!

I'm almost to 5 months now. Actually, I'll be in a canoe on the Allagash on my 5 month date!! What a way to celelbrate!

I realized today that I have gone ALL week without wanting to smoke. Without really thinking about smoking, either!

Webbiecat,

Way up there in the Allagash will smell sweet this time of year without the cigarette smoke masking the smell (smile).

I have been up there before as I am a Native Mainer now living in Texas.

Careful that them blackflies and no-see-ums don't carry you off on your canoe trip.

NaMommy - I found that if I stuff myself, I WANT a smoke after dinner to help get the bloated feeling down...however, if I'm really careful and only eat to satisfaction...I don't think about smoking!!

As for your hubby - my prayers are with you both. That must be really tough getting through all this medical crap. Just think though...sure would be hard to breath with your lungs full of fluid, wouldn't it?!? Go find the nearest flowering bush or tree and take a large whiff of it!!! Man, they smell SOOOO good!!! Can't believe how much more I've noticed it this year!!!

Jen - Free and Healing for Two Months, Three Days and 43 Minutes, while extending my life expectancy 6 Days and 16 Hours, by avoiding the use of 1921 nicotine delivery devices that would have cost me $340.90.

Must be the NEARLY 2000 CIGARETTES I HAVEN'T SMOKED!!!!!!!!! woo hoo!!!

Congrats to everyone - keep up the great work today!!!
