You've made it past Hell Week; now, to get past Heck Week!
You can do it. I see the motivation you have just be having the gum and candy packed already!
For me, the biggest thig is behaviors. Change what I'm doing, and I change what I'm thinking. Urges end.
Keep up the good work!!!

Shalom!

Jen - Free and Healing for Three Months, Thirty Days, 23 Hours and 38 Minutes (121 days!!!), while extending my life expectancy 12 Days and 16 Hours, by avoiding the use of 3660 nicotine delivery devices that would have cost me $650.99.

Seven months, three weeks, two days, 16 hours, 54 minutes and 26 seconds smoke free. That's 9428 cigarettes not smoked, saving $2,592.29. Life saved: 4 weeks, 4 days, 17 hours, 40 minutes.

Keep the quit and post before you puff!

Shalom!

Well conspicuous in my absence I fell and I have only since picked myself up....it is now day three.....it's hell.....I'm sticking to it this time, I am determined, the lack of concentration (more so than usual) lol is driving me nutzo.....I have been picking grapes and melon from the garden and now I'm off to stuff my face with fruit not nicotine. Please wish me well.

(((Annie)))
Of COURSE we wish you well....

It's not easy, Annie, and each one of us can attest to that fact. This is the first time I've quit for this length of time. Each time I stumbled, I learned somthing I needed to learn for this quit. But, I *honestly* say that it's the change of behaviors that makes the difference. Long term and short term behaviors.

I've heard a saying of AA's that goes:
"The only thing I have to change is everything."
That's what it was for me quitting smoking.

Take it one day at a time, and don't pick up that first one. No matter what. There's so many times I just wanted one. Stuck in traffic; frustrated at work; pissed off about some BS. Just keep doing something different. That's what works for me.

We're here for you Annie! And KUDOS for taking the plunge! That's the spirit of a winner!!!
Why not share some of the things you've learned from your last quit?

Keept he quit and post before you puff!

Shalom!

I think I am ready! I am now on day 2 and I think all doubts in my mind have been cleared: I must now stop; I want to now stop. So its day 2. I dont feel as INSANE as I normally do at this time.

Here I go. I hope this time I can make it.

So GLAD your home!!! Keep up the good work; you're doing GREAT!!!

Five, here's the link:
www.silkquit.org
It gets easier, Five, you know it does. The first week is HELL week for a reason ya know.
And honestly, it's Hell week that really helps me to stay non-smoking; cuz I NEVER want to quit again!!!
Just keep doing something different, Five. No "hope" involved. Behaviors. Each choice, even if no one's looking, do something other than pick up a cigarette! :>)

Indie, you can do it!!!

I am now Seven months, three weeks, five days, 2 hours, 23 minutes and 7 seconds smoke free. That's 9523 cigarettes not smoked, saving $2,618.63. Life saved: 4 weeks, 5 days, 1 hour, 35 minutes. :>)

Keep the quit and post before you puff!!!

Shalom!

Last Friday, the twenty first of July, was sixteen months of not smoking cigarettes for the wife and I.

It has been, and is worth surviving "Hell Week" as Teach describes it!

Five,
I hope you're still holding on. You CAN do this. Make sure you keep telling yourself that you CAN do this. That you DON'T want or need to smoke. Made a huge difference to me. That and those Icebreaker Sours!!! I knew I was getting better when I started forgetting to make sure I had my can with me!!! This past week I was feeling more of a desire to smoke...but I didn't smoke and the desire went away!!!

Free and Healing for Four Months, Seven Days, 2 Hours and 16 Minutes (129 days), while extending my life expectancy 13 Days and 10 Hours, by avoiding the use of 3873 nicotine delivery devices that would have cost me $689.14.

Great job everyone!!! Keep it up!!! Just don't pick up the first one!!!

Jen
