Well, first entry, and its day 2 without fags for me. Yes, its hell. O boy. I am sat in work after having just walked in, and on the walk I just had to bat those fag thoughts out of my mind. The sensation of withdrawal is very strange and I quite like it - its a nice feeling of getting rid of poisions and rubbish. I will update later. |

yea I kind of know what your saying. The thing for me was to sit back and play games with cravings I know your there now go away kind of thing.Thats were the patch is helpful for your physical cravings, and you work on the mental. Trick your head into thinking you are a non smoker now, wich you are congrats!

Five, Great job...day 2 and 7 I think were the worst for me. Day 2 by far the ugliest!!! That was the day I had always given up, so actually making it through day 2 was a huge victory. Chanting has been a huge help for me. Keep telling myself over and over that "I don't want to smoke". Pretty soon, it does sink in. Can't believe it, but I've been smoke free for 4 weeks and 3.5 days!!! That's a really long time for me. Amazingly, but working the 12 steps of AA into my "non-smoking" program, sure has taken away a lot of the anxiety and helpless feelings. Also, I got myself a "non-smoking sponsor" whom I haven't had to call yet, nearly did a few times. He told me to call him before I picked up (and of course, he leveled me "the look"). I think about calling him and I figure out how to make it without smoking!!! (He kinda scares me a bit!!!!) HA HA. Anyway, good luck. Great place to check in and journal, I've been a bit lax in my journaling lately...been so busy, NOT SMOKING!!!!! HA Jen |

Five; A slip is not a relapse unless you let it become one. A slip is nothing but an opportunity to learn what went wrong. What behavior you COULD have used to stay quit. It's all about doing the next right thing, choice after choice. ![]() So, hop back on that wagon, if you really want to quit, and do an inventory to discover what it was you really were covering up with the smoke screen. And then, what you COULD have done differently to meet that need. We're here for ya! ![]() Shalom!

Sounds like you made a good choice to me... ![]() Be mad. It's ok. Work through it. Use any behavior except smoking! It's how it works for me, anyway. Keep the quit and post before you puff! ![]() Shalom!
