Sorry to hear about the rough day, Lavendar.
Have you contacted the American Cancer Society? They have telephone counseling that really helped. But, more importantly, they send you a bunch of stuff in the mail. One of the things is a stick gumby type thing. It really helped me because I could twist and turn it and take out aggression on it, lol!
Give it a try.
But, give yourself credit too. You held off when things were rough. Whatever behaviors you choose kept you from the old smoking behavior; so add them to your repitoire.

Keep the quit and post before you puff!

Shalom!

Get a big bag of peanuts in the shell for times like that, they really help.

Hey. I know what you mean. This is my 4th day without a cigarette. I smoked my last one on Saturday. I refuse to buy more. I'm done. The only time I am missing it, is in the a.m. right after I get up and after dinner. I've been looking at my front porch, knowing that it won't be the same, sitting out there this summer...without a smoke. And I know this is really crazy...but, I'm thinking about all those cool ashtrays I have, that I won't be able to use anymore. lol. I'll have to think of something else to do with them.
Lavender, I have been keeping jelly beans with me. They take away alittle of the craving and it's a great time of year to buy them!! :bun5

I miss the 'morning coffee cigarette' so I've been sleeping in a half hour later so I don't have the extra time to sit and think about it. Other than that, I am just keeping myself busy.

Don't give in.

So far, so good. I'm still smoke free, but it's getting tougher.
Thanks for all the support.

The nuts in the shell are a great diversion. Remember, focus on changing the behaviors. Do something different at times you'd like a cigarettte. Plan for times you know you'd like to have one. Drive a different way to work, or to the store. Rearange your furniture at home. New associations for the new, non smoking you. That's the key to quitting; behavioral changes.

Keep the quit and post before you puff!
Shalom!
