Just a couple of questions....

Today I am 1w 2d 9hrs 39 secs smomber, and for some reason I am feeling a bit restless. It is kind of like I want something to eat , buit dont know what , does anyone recognise this feeling?

I cant identify it as a "craving " for a smoke, just "something"

It is extremely hot here today, so is a bit hot to go for a walk, I am filling in my day , but feel a bit unsettled.

OMG! just realised I forgot to put my patch on this morning, I guess that could have something to do with it !!!! Silly me

HUGX
Lee

LOL, Lee!!!

Yea, forgetting the patch might be a reason, all right!
However, remember this too. When we stop smoking, we are getting a higher percentage of oxygen. My smoke cessation counselor said that the extra oxygen will indeed make us feel more restless. Our brains, and every cell in our body, is no longer being deprived of life saving oxygen, and is more "alive", (for lack of a better word), than they have been for years.
So, yes, we do have extra energy.
Nother unusual about your feelings at all.
And now, you can take time and actually smell the roses!

Shalom!

You forgot your patch?

I do know that feeling, Lee - I've felt it after quitting drugs, drink, and cigarettes in the past. It takes time to adjust to a new way of life and I think that restlessness feeling is part of the psychological process of change and being outside our usual comfort zone. Using positive distractions is probably the best way to deal with those feelings, and it's important to me this time not to develop bad eating habits as a way to compensate for the missing comfort factor of a cigarette.

It's strange to read about hot weather when I'm looking out my window at snow!
