Someone somewhere just tell me please that having a smoke right now when I'm having a really really hard time won't solve anything. I'll just have manky lungs AND all the problems! Holy moly this is tough. Tough tough tough. Ps think I've overdosed on nicotine gum, my heart's going 20 to the dozen!!!! I have been quit for 5 Days, 11 hours, 56 minutes and 1 second (5 days). I have saved £28.30 by not smoking 109 cigarettes. I have saved 9 hours and 5 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 09/02/2006 22:30 |

Jane; You are almost over the worst of it. The nicodemon is giving it it's best shot to make you fail. But, YOU are stronger. Remember, if you give in now, you're going to be going through this all over again. You WANT to quit, remember? What are the main reasons for your quit? Remind yourself. Think of what you are giving yourself, rather than what you are loosing...COPD, lung cancer, emphesima, smelly clothes, hair, yellow teeth.....That's what your loosing! Breath deeply in and out four cleansing breaths. Then, do something diffrent. Distract yourself. A craving typically lasts 10 minutes. Drink lots of water. WE're here with you. I'm glad you posted before you puffed! ![]() Keep the quit! ![]() Shalom!

thank you I'm glad I posted. I went and ate some toast, drank some tea, vented my frustrations on friends and family and have stomped about the office quite vigourously! And of course, you're right, I'm not losing anything I want to keep, am I? You rock, you know that? Jane xxx |
