and I am struggling with eatting. I am exercising and living clean but my eatting is off the charts. I am not gaining weight but I am not losing and I believe this is cause I am replacing smooking. This week end was the first time it has been hard not to buy a pack of smokes. I wanted one just to not feel like I needed the food.

but you are doing great.... just KNOW that it won't always feel like this..it gets better and better.... AFter 327 days of being quit, I no longer want to smoke PERIOD..... but the fact that you have not gained..is HUGE..most people gain an avg of 10 lbs I have read..... EVEN with exercise.....you may still gain, as smoking forces our hearts to beat faster and thus, burn more calories.. JUST think of how healthy your heart is becoming... Hugs to you....

hotwingeatter; Today was a rough day for me. I kept wanting a smoke! Lots of deep breathing and some housework and I got through it, but, I wanted one! And I've been eatting too... going to the gym, but, eating too. And I have to stop that real soon -- like yesterday! ![]() Shalom!

Well trying to cut the eating down today so far so good. I had and apple an egg and will have a burger on whole wheat bread for lunch. Grilled hot wings and brocoli for diner. If I want a snack I got some more apples and peanuts. Today has been easier cause I have my cafienne and ephedra. but I am now out of ephedra.

I've been looking into the GI diet - no, not a military one. It's the Glycaemic Index diet. http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk/diet/gi_diet.htm It's based on scientific principals; admired by nutritionists and doctors; and allows for eating 6 meals a day - just differently from our 3 meal a day routine. Here's a link with the GI levels of different foods. http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk...dex_tables.htm This is an interesting concept, and I know a woman who uses it. Met her at my new school. She's as thin as a rail; healthy as a horse; and eats a ton of food! LOL! It's just the right kinds of foods that makes the difference. She swears by it and she is evidence of it's worth. That's what got me looking into this type of lifestyle. Anyway, good luck. Let's continue to share notes here, cuz I don't want to gain any more weight. I've gained three pounds since I've quit, and I've been going to the gym exercising regularly. ![]() Remember to keep the quit and post before you puff! ![]() Shalom!
