|  need a car...
Good thing I quit smoking. My car died last night on the way home from dinner at my brother's house. Pouring rain. It just started loosing power and there was a burning smell. I was able to pull over, and thankfully, there was a cop there, (giving a ticket to someone else, lol!) So, I was able to call AAA and the cop told them exactly where we were. Now, I've just called to rent a car. Going to have to find a new one to purchase. Ya know, I just put $500 of new tires on my car and I had an appointment to have it inspected tomorrow! Oy!  All the money I thought I could save...  Shalom!

Oh Teach..sorry to hear about your car!! Someday soon I am going to post about all the cars or quasi-cars I have driven in my life...lol I now know so much about all the things that can go WRONG with a vehicle that when someone tells me a car story, I sound like a man....lol " No power?..battery..alternator..." etc. My sons tell me that when they are rich and famous, they are splitting on a car and driver for me!!! Good luck finding a new one.

Hey Teach.... Dang... bummer about the car... but hail .... God sent ya a cop of all things to help ya out... lol I'm praying for a timely... affordable solution for you.... ... and make sure you don't leave those new tires on the car your getting rid of.. ;o) |

Thanks, Mike... Here4him, it's great you know so much. Oh, and you're going to enjoy that driver.  Bike, that's the first thing I thought about -- the tires! AYE! And you're right about the cop being there. Talk about a lucky break! LOL! Ya know, it wasn't that many years ago, I would NOT have been happy about a cop being around, lol! Perspective.... Thanks all you kind folks....It's just one more of life's hurdles. This too shall pass.  And I'm still smoke free. It's now Two months, one week, 5 hours, 58 minutes and 5 seconds. 2729 cigarettes not smoked, saving $750.73. Life saved: 1 week, 2 days, 11 hours, 25 minutes. Shalom!

Ooopppsss, Thanks Kathy. Yea, I wouldn't be able to make both payments, lol!  Good thing I've quit! I hope I can find something decent too. I sent an sos out to the family to be on the lookout, hehehe!  Shalom!

Praying that your car can be repaired  I know what you mean, Seems like I've always bought a new set of tires and sold my car off right after that
