I just saw a rerun of Roseanne.
(I just LOVE cable! LOL!)
Anyway, it was an episode where she was sneak smoking. She thought she was fooling everyone. But, DJ told her she smelled, and then Dan told her he knew. So, she had to quit.
Sitting on the couch eating carrot sticks and watching TV with Jackie, she reminised about the smokers on TV as they were growing up.

So, what cigarette smoking TV or movie models did we have growing up?

Gosh, I'm having a brain fart right now...I can't think of any movie stars! I remember they were always shown as SEXY!
Today, it's the sociopaths that smoke, LOL!

Who else was there in your youth that modeled how cool it was to smoke? No, I'm not saying they "made" us smoke. But, we do know that modeling behavior can induce behavior in youth. And this is not a political thread. Just a light hearted poke at our youth.

Any old TV show seemed to have a person suckin on one!!!
Parents, teachers and doctors all were smoking. I believe we're inclined to imitate life. Life as we saw it, involved a drink and a smoke!!!

Seems like now, in a movie, they might be a paid ad. If, the brand of something is shown, from what I've read, the product has paid to be seen.
