| Interesting night, indeed!
I got invited back to compete in a high stakes performing contest at the Hard Rock Cafe tonight, and I sat there grinning like a Cheshire Cat, not because I won, but because I went there alone, sat by myself, and made some new young friends, who began by apologizing to me for their rowdiness! What, just cuz I look like a rockin' Grandma...? LOL I didn't shame myself, either, placed 5th out of 20 (damn the top chickies who won were fantastic!) and I actually had one of the young guys there sitting and talking about music and my experiences - he was a dang sponge! LOL but he was still learning. And what tickled me most? No ciggy cravings, even though I had a drink, and this young guy told me I smelled FANTASTIC (shoot, it's just my Outrageous shampoo!) Wouldn't get that as a smoker, now would I? Hmm, interesting night! And I wasn't going to go, since I had to decide between singing, and going to a meeting. But I've been doing well, going regularly, and singing is also part of my recovery, isn't it? Ellen

![]() Congrats on placing 5th. Dang good show, I'd say! And even more kudos for not having any cravings! That sounds like a good sign. (My cravings have lessened too! )Keep it up, Ellen; it's great to hear! ![]() Shalom!
