Red face hmm..losing my mind???

I think I'm losing my mind, lol!

Seriously. I was supposed to start my quit smoking support group on Thursday. I was supposed to give my doctor a paper to fax over to them too. Now, I was at the doctors office on Saturday, and I forgot to give it to him.

I only remembered because I just looked into my scheduler and saw it there.
Now, I've been talking on this forum about taking these sessions. I've talked with my sister about it too. So how the heck could it have gone from
my mind like that? Knowing it and not knowing it at the same time...

I hope they'll still let me come this Thursday...

Shalom!

Oh Teach, poor you!

Are you very disappointed? Look at you, though, still going strong

My concentration is at an all time low too. I put the oven on yesterday and completely forgot, I switched half the outside lights off on Friday night but left santa flashing all night.
This morning I drove up to a roundabout on the wrong side of the road.

All this will improve. At least I hope it does!

I knew we have concentration problems when we quit smoking. And I've experienced that "mental pause" feeling often. But nothing this bad! Geeezzz!
Yea, I'm disappointed. But, I'm more worried that they won't let me come now. I'm going to call today and talk to the guy.
And YOU be careful driving!!

I hope it improves too, J...

Today is day 7!!!
I have six days, 1 hour, 42 minutes and 24 seconds. 242 cigarettes not smoked, saving $66.78. Life saved: 20 hours, 10 minutes.
Hey, almost got another day of life!

Shalom!

When you sit down to have a smoke, you have time to think about the small things. When you stop smoking and are keeping busy to keep your mind off of smoking, the small things go to the background of your mind.

In the end it balances out.

Your body knows what is important right now, getting off of the cigarettes!

Maybe this is the way it helps you do just that.

LOL...during the early part of a quit, most people get CRS syndrome which is Can't Remember S*&T. It does pass. Until then, write everything down.

Congrats on your quit!!!

Yea, I like that excuse too!
Heck, I can't even type anymore without making a mistake every other word! Grrrr....
But, if it's temporary, and for the bigger cause, I'll deal with it.

Oh, and pup, I DID write it down. And I looked at my calander for other things too. Saw it right there in front of me. And I still screwed up!!!

I called the smoke cessation counselor and left a message. I hope I'll still be able to go....

Thanks everyone for your thoughts.
Shalom!

Just means you have a lot going on in your head.....not that you're losing it....lol.

My favorite "Oops" things that I do are things like:

Sitting at a stop sign and waiting for the light to turn green!

Hey, it is day 7 with no ciggies for me today too. I stood in the grocery store today, looking up at the signs above the aisles, wondering if Hersheys chocolate syrup was considered a condiment. lol
