Talking Day Five...

Yup, I'm half way through day 5 and doing ok.

It's funny, people have spoken about coughing more now that they've quit. Well, the reality for me is that I am coughing LESS.
My coughing had gotten so bad when I was smoking. Now, I am not waking up gaging. I'm not coughing all day, and being awakened at night coughing. There is still some coughing, don't get me wrong. But, it definately is less.

My sister used to tell me I was allergic to smoking. I wonder if that's true? Last time I quit, I was coughing less too. But, I had just gotten over a BAD bout of bronchitis too. So, I figured it was because of that; that I had cleansed my system when I was sick. So, although I had a case of bronchitis prior to this quit, I went to the docs early and got meds; it was very short lived. Whatever it is, I am definately not coughing as much now that I'm not smoking!

I have four days, 13 hours, 13 minutes and 58 seconds. 182 cigarettes not smoked, saving $50.06. Life saved: 15 hours, 10 minutes.
Yep, this is cool!!! :>)

Shalom!

Thanks; It's actually day 6 now!!!
I'm so glad...feeling pretty good, though I had a few STRONG urges this morning. I popped in a piece of nicorette gum, and kept busy, and it was over with! Ya know, there's always more laundry to do, LOL!

I now have:
Five days, 8 hours, 6 minutes and 45 seconds. 213 cigarettes not smoked, saving $58.71. Life saved: 17 hours, 45 minutes.

Thank you all for your support! You are all so awsome!!!
Shalom!

teach,
My husband use to have a coughing spell, every morning, after going outside.

Within 5-6 days, the coughing stopped.

Teach, you are doing great!

Why, I believe you have become a non-smoker!

This Jan. 1 will be 6 years, for both of us!!
