Need Advice - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

I would really appriciate it if anyone has advice for me, to help me to get thru the first few days of not smoking. I get so very uptight and irritable, ready to take off anyones head in a flash. I am so mean, people want to hand me cigarettes just to calm me down. Sometimes it feels like I start to joanz as hard as I use too for my DOC. Candy and snacks are not cutting it, please help. thankz

Hi kerry... Welcome to SR

First check out the sticky's at the top of this forum, there are some great links.

Are you using patches or anything to quit or going cold turkey?

I am on Zyban and using the nicorette inhaler, the inhaler is sold over the counter here in Canada but from what I've heard it is by prescrption only in the US and that it's quite expensive.

If you are going cold turkey there is a web site with support for cold turkey, I don't know the web address, hopefully someone will come along with the site. or you could go to a search engine.

i got my quit keeper..... it's great to see the results right in front of my eyes!!! other than that, I've been here a lot, reading and posting. coming to the end of day 3

we can do it!!!!!!
