Day 27

It's been 27 days since I last smoked. I give the credit to God and the 12 steps. Today is the first day I have attempted to go without the nicotine inhaler. Yesterday I only used it once. I think that physically I can now let go. Psychologically, I am trusting the God I have come to know through the 12 steps to give me the strength to let that go too. Thanks for all your support. Magic

I found with the inhaler that chewing cinnamon gum after using it helped. M

Now I am getting jealous that every one else is doing so well.
Wonder if the gum goes bad as it sits around waiting for it's intended use?

Congraulations.
My turn next (again) I think it is about time that I pick myself up and try it again.

Magic!!!
Congratulations!!! 27 days is awesome! s
I'm on day two myself. And taking it one day at a time.
I'm using the patch, zyban and prayer. I've stopped drinking, cuz that's a huge trigger for me to smoke too.
Yea, I should start using the 12 too. That sounds like a good plan.
Thanks for sharing. You're an inspiration, as always!

Shalom!

Funny you should mention drinking, Teach. One of the biggest reasons I was moved to quit smoking was because the whole state is non-smoking now. I can't enjoy smoking at a nice restaraunt, bar, or entertainment venue. It was the straw that broke the camel's back. Two days is great! I didn't think I could ever make it one day without being locked up or tied down. Hugs, M

Yea, it's like that here, too, in RI, Magic! No smoking indoors in any public place.
Though I have serious philosophical problems with these type of laws in a "free" society, I'm sure that it also has the effect of cutting down on people's smoking.
But, that's besides the point.
Congrats to you again!
And I know what you mean about thinking we couldn't made it without restraint, lol!

Shalom!

Same philosophical problems here. I should be able to decide my own course. Helmet laws, smoking laws, seatbelt laws, etc. Why not just lock us in a closet? (Ok, slowly step off the soapbox lady!) M
