| Mr.Hope and I are on board:)
Well, today is day Two. Mr. Hope and I have become "buddies" in our non-smoking adventure. We also have a dear friend here at the forums that is part of our support system. We are using the Nicorette gum. So far..soooooooooo good. I have watched smoking do many bad things to my dad who passed. My mom has COPD and now as many of you know, lung and kidney cancer. We just decided there would never be a "good" time to quit. We are already using our humor. We vent about wanting a cig as long as from here to Canada! LOL AND we are taking this VERY serious at the same time. I have signed onto a website. It is www.quitsmoking.com You receive quit tips in your email for the first 12 days We are already thinking of ourselves AS non-smokers because we ARE!!!! I hope I can offer support to others here, and receive support as well. I am blessed to have a partner that chose to do this with me. ONE DAY AT A TIME!!!!!!!! Hope |

Best to both of you! You guys will do great... It was 6 years for me on November 6. Funny how one remembers their last ciggie...It gets easier and easier as time goes on and believe it or not, there will come a day when you will not even think about it. Hugs to youse two!

Hey Wolf I just had my mom laughing. She had a cig before laying down for her nap. She asked if I would like one. I told her no, I had quit.(of course she won't remember and will ask again) Anyway...I had her laughing because she was NOT going to have hers? She has such a heart. So, I told her, just blow that smoke towards me lady..and she laughed. Under any other circumstances I would not be saying that. Her comfort is important, and you know...I just have to get through those times, that are a bit tougher than others. The poor lady is dying of cancer..she needs to be AS happy as she can for whatever time she has left. Sorry I got to rambling! lol Thank you for your support!!!! (((((Hugs)))) Hopefloats |
