Just needed to post that I haven't smoked in 18 days. I left my nicotrol inhaler at home, so I am going to go most of the day without any nicotine. I have already weened myself down a lot anyway.

I think this last week has been one of the most stressful weeks I've had in years. My dog got zinc poisoning from swallowing a penny, and nearly died. If I ever wanted to smoke, this would be the week. I am very grateful that I didn't have to take a puff. Hugs, Magic

PS If you know of any dog lovers, let them know that US pennies minted after 1982 are 93 to 99 percent zinc and can poison a dog. Many vets aren't even aware of this. Symptoms are loss of appetite, vomiting, internal bleeding, trouble breathing, and weakness. It causes severe anemia, and ulcerations in the gastro-intestinal tract. There are many articles on the web, but the zinc industry wants to suppress this information.

Good for you magic. Today's my 6th day. So far so good.

Well isn't that something about the pennies. I'll be sure to let everyone I know who has a dog or is thinking about getting one. Thanks for the information.

I know what you mean about the stress - I keep saying to myself, "oh, I wish I had a cig right now!" especially after I've worked really hard on something and completed it. That 'reward' thing has always motivated me...so now it's food, which is it's own demon that I will eventually face as well.

hey all, ya kids are light years ahead of me, hour 6.for me!!! ppfftt, Yikes!, and the big Phoey. a friend said you have a good non-smoking forum here. well, i'm here. working so far. i woke up, had the urge, said a few prayers. walked a few laps around the house. wanted to light up. { was gunna light up, and tell friend . I no smoke

} so for now, no" But's" { she call me ass sometime } anyway, the first real urge, gone for now. ty for your insperation. me betta get a laptop, and bring it on the road with me

today not my birthday, but that made me laugh. guess whatever it takes? Huh?... mabe i see you all soon, mabe not, we see. ty for being here. good wishes to all! xo RZ
