do this we all can. Tomorrow will be six weeks smober for me and I was smoking between 40-60 cigs a day and had been smoking for decades. I am using patches and tomorrow I reduce the strength. In the last six weeks I have and am going through some difficult and testing times and have found I don't need to smoke because of this. I have posted today of the techniques I use apart from the patches and they are all very straight forward, but basically I need to do them constantly. I see no reason to pick up another ciggie and make myself ill again. In just six weeks my body has recovered amazingly, my face looks different, I can run without getting out of breath, taste and smell are amazing and continue to be, my breathing is normal not ragged and wet, my heart rate and blood pressure are constantly normal. My intake of coffee has quite naturally dropped to 1/3, I am not very interested in it and have started looking for an alternative, maybe Chai. I talk about what is going on and only run into trouble when I stop talking about it. My mornings are wonderful, within 30 secs of my feet hitting the floor my body is awake and alert I can sing dance and play with my dogs. I am 54 and had smoked from about 13 onward. We can all do this Love Kevin

Nogard, you are such an inspiration!!!! I was taking a herbal pill and it did help for a little while. So I decided to go to my Doc and talk about my options and we decided on Zyban. I started taking it yesterday and have set my quit date for Nov 26. I have been following your posts, and I hope I come back with 6 weeks smober soon too!!!! Congrats to you!! Please keep posting it really helps others. Roxy

Wow, what a true inspiration. Thanks so much for sharing this,, it is important, as it is with drugs or alcohol, to hear people say, it can be done. Thanks again, you have inspired me.. That means alot , to my lungs as well.. Love, Becky
