Abundance of energy. The shakes from detox or is it from all the energy? 3 days and all nicotine is out of your system. Increase in any cough you may have. (body starts to heal right away) The energy level is what I feel causes any and all symtems. For me... all that extra energy and the better feeling I was having... I started to feel guilty... I am not deserving of good health. Well guess what? We all are deserving of good health. The little voices inside that LIE and tell you.... just one won't hurt.... DON'T listen to the little voices *LOL* They lie. One will put you right back where you left off.

Its very hard but worth it. Symptoms, lack of concentration, wanting to eat more, headaches, sleeplessness. Good things though, sense of smell returns, more energy, and you feel a sense of pride w/ every passing day. I am only on day 4 tommorow but have done it before for a period of time. I am also quitting drinking as that is when I smoke which had been every day until a few weeks ago. I know people say use the patch or gum but I believe in the cold turkey method so all the nicotine gets out of your system in a few days. It takes a couple of weeks before you stop thinking about it all the time though. Good luck! Remember one day at a time!

Hi Cougar the Cat! Check out day 12 on this thread - it has a list of possible withdrawal symptoms. You won't necessarily experience them all. The major one for me was headace - it stared on day two and was gone by about lunchtime on day three. http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...g-72604-2.html Being scared about quitting is normal - most people feel this way about it. Once you quit, you'll probably find that it's not as bad as you fear it will be. Good luck to you!
