until I quit smoking. I've been a smoker for about 20 years, and have come to really dislike it. Its a nasty habit, messy, stinky, expensive now, of course very unhealthy, and I'm tired of being a slave to the cigarettes. So Tues is my quit day. I haven't picked a patch or a gum yet, I don't know about that, I might just sweat it out, I'm not sure yet. So far I've only picked, and commited to a date.... |

Quitting for my wife and I never seemed to work as it would get real ugly and we would argue about anything. Once we both did the patch deal it was so much easier. The patch took the edge off, and we didn’t keep picking fights with each other. We quit back in March of this year and have never looked back. Some say quit cold turkey, don’t use anything. We tried, and it didn’t work for us, the sure patch did. Having some type of candy, or nuts in my cigarette pocket gave me something to reach for instead of a cigarette. You know, those automatic reach for a cigarette times.

Yeah, me to I already failed on my quit date, but if I may offer an excuse this week super sucked! I know I'll have to learn to live without them on super suck weeks but damn... I got to get focused, I thought a month prep time would do it, but nope!

Hi Doug! Doug and I are going to do this together, so I've postponed my quit date for three days - I think it will really help to have a friend doing this with me.

Margo way to go ![]() Dan and Chy, keep us posted. 3 weeks for me today and I am feeling great physically and mentally. Kevin

Success seems to be a matter of hanging on after others have let go. DON'T let go....... y'all can do this... ONE day or even one hour, at a time... YOU know the drill!!!

Oh great. I seem to remember saying (somewhere along the line)... "If Doug ever quits smoking then I..." Ha! I didn't say it again. Not yet. But I should. Best of luck to you Doug and Margo. I will promise that I will look to your gumption as inspiration one of these days. In the meantime... |

Tomorrow is it. I've got 5 cigs left, and when they're gone, they're gone. So far my only "tool", other than wanting to quit, is a bag full of berry flavored Halls Cough Drops. I might have to get some patches tomorrow....we'll see... Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. ...but who's counting... |
