How are "we" doing

Its Day 17 for me and I am doing well, last two days have been great as I hardly thought about smoking, last night was more difficult and this morning I am feeling tired even though I slept well and enough.

I will be counting how much money I have saved so far today and doing some more exercise.

How are you travelling?

oh yeah, many errant thoughts but none about giving up and all too blue to put down here

I made it through the day and faced everything head on and it went pretty well.

Thanks hotwingeatter and how are you going?

well its the morning of Day 19 and even though I had a really stressful day yesterday and today will be long and a little stressful too. I even survived a call from my daughter last night to say her mum, my ex had not turned up to meet a friend outside a theater, after a few hours we discovered she had turned up and could not find her friend and had gone in and watched the play!

By then we had the police involved .... anyway I did not have a ciggy, so I guess that tells me I can do this whatever.

WOW!!! How much were you smoking a day, Nogard?

I was on two pack per day up to last year, now down to a half or three-quarter pack per day. I never did really feel any better after halving my consumption.

Big day coming up on Saturday - thanks for the inspiration!

Each pack (20) costs nearly $10.00 very expensive and I was smoking well over two packs a day sometimes 3!

Good luck for Saturday, I will be thinking of you

I need to figure out something for the weekends. All my friends work on the weekends so I am in my gym as much as possible. I don't really have much to do after spending 2 hours in the gym except take a nap (i love weekends). Can anyone help suggest something to keep me out of the smokes? No, I don't want to work weekends like my friends. I just quit working 2 jobs a month before I quit.

At the weekends I have been painting, spending time with friends who happen not to smoke, relaxing, reading, walking.

What works for me is to change everythng about my routine and to change all my habits and even the furniture and where I sit to eat or watch tv....

Hope that helps

Day 23 here

I have given up for now, I don't smoke until I am done with my day at 8:00 PM in order to help make this easier when I do stop. I will try again soon though. I am going to blow second hand smoke in the banana's faces and try to give them lung cancer.
