Hi

I have been posting on frineds and families of alcoholics trying to find ways of helping my SO deal with his problem of alcoholism. The thing is, I have my own addiction and have finally decided to put my energy into changing that.

My 11-yr old son begs me not to smoke. We are all each other has and to lose me to my habit would be devastating for him. So here I am asking for your help.

Hi Brammy - there's a "sticky" post at the top of the forum called "Countdown to Quitting". Take a look and see if you'd like to join in!

There's some good info in the Nicotine Power Posts thread as well.
