I quit wearing the patches a week or so ago and almost immediately went back to smoking WAY too much, especially when I'm on here. So today I have put on a new 21mg patch and am presently chewing a piece of the gum as well. There are no cigarettes in the house. This will change when my husband gets home this evening. Just help me get through this day, though! Thanks!

Eddie, Quit now! I will join you Wed.

Me and one of my friends are both quiting tomorrow. Why Tomorrow? June 1 1975 was the 1st time I saw the Rolling Stones in concert. So instead of buying a carton every 10 days I will save money for the 2005 concert.

Thank you, Ro and Janet!! At the computer is when I more or less chain smoke. Bad Eddie! I went out and bought a pack,

Then my patch fell off, too. So I am smoking. But now I'm counting how many and trying to cut back. I may try putting on another patch. I seem to :sweat alot so they tend to not stick too well. Maybe I should use more of the gum

I've never tried the gum, myself. Quit once with the patch and welbutrin.
Who knows? Maybe now that I'm back on that dose again, I should try again? Been thinking more and more of it. Just afraid of more stress in my life right now, LOL!
DOn't say it. I KNOW smoking doesn't HELP the stress.
But, quitting does ADD stress! *sigh*
Anyway, I hope you quit.
And I only have three weeks left of school. And for the first time, I don't know if I'll have to work during the summer. (Depends on if I need surgery or not!) Soooo, that may just be my "project" this summer!

Good luck! Remember, this is the one time when quitters are winners!!!

I know I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again. Pickup a copy of "The Easy Way To Stop Smoking" by Allen Carr, and you'll have no more issues with cigarettes. You just have to read, understand, and believe what he tells you in the book.

And if you are not really serious about quitting, don't buy or read the book...I'm serious.

I SHOULD know better than to smoke with the patch on, but I figured the milligrams of nicotine delivered and I think it's less if I smoke with the patch than if I just smoke. Now is that an addict talking or what? LOL.

Hello Eddie! I found the book at Barnes & Noble. You know, I still can't figure out why I smoked for as long as I did.

Anyway, It'll be 8 full weeks (tomorrow night at 9:30pm) of not smoking. I've promised myself that that is when I will stop counting the days and hours, and will simply continue my life as a non-smoker. I'm already starting to forget that I ever smoked cigarettes.

Oh those things are so nasty!
