Well, it's been over a month (cold turkey), not exactly sure how long. I'm trying not to think about it that way. I keep telling myself "you've always been a non-smoker". So far so good, and we've done a lot of things that would have sent me back; i.e. going to the bar for dinner (I know, I'm weak LOL). I also keep thinking about the cost - and with the price of gas going so high, I need my car more than I need ciggies - actually gotta make that decision, how sad! I've also done something for myself; I finally completed Sign Language classes, something I've always wanted to do and I did it! I wish everyone good luck and keep on being smoke free...... |

Well done Lavender! :Terrific It's great to get over those hurdles where smoking would have been involved, to face the challenge and get through it. I faced a big one last week when I had to take a day-long drive for the first time since quitting, but I just did it a mile at a time. Congratulations on completing your sign language class - that is certainly something to keep your hands busy! ![]() Thanks for dropping by, Lavender - It's great to see those who've got some clean time come in and let us know that it can be done! Hugs!

Congrats Lavender! Right now, I'm trying to cut back on lighting up every 20 to 25 minutes. I never smoked that much until I went through alcohol withdrawals back in November/December. Keep up the good work. As you already know, the worst of it is already over. Bookie12 |

You can do it too Bookie12. I started out by eliminating where I could smoke, first the house, then the car, then at work. Talked the OM into taking this step with me, that made it easier. Keep up the good work, it can be done! |
