| (this won't go on forever) Day 5
Made it made it made it to the end of the working week! My partner tood three puffs of a cigarette yesterday, stubbed it out, felt sick and then shared the experience at her AA meeting. I almost cried when she told me as I thought that was the end of it, but nope, she's back on the wagon and more determined than ever. Hooray! She said she felt sick as a pig and took her patch off as a wee punishment to herself. (i like that smiley) PS I'm off for a haircut with the money I saved not smoking this week! |

Making it through work all week while quitting is fantastic. Or should i say quitting whilst working. Or even just quitting. Doh, i am all confused now. Whichever it is great. Well done you! ![]() ![]() ps., i like that you are treating yourself. People keep telling me i should do that but i am not too good at it. I bought a bread bin. |

| bread bins are good!
It's something you will look at every day, get good use of, and will stand as a kitcheny testament to your wonderful achievement! My haircut is spikey and I feel pampered. Going to pick my kids up tonight (they've been at their dad's for a week and have no idea we've given up - they will be so chuffed ) and be confident I can handle the weekend with no smokes. Even if the eldest DID get us booted off out service provider with a complaint of abuse. 15 year olds, eh? I'm hoping it's a virus problem or the wee bu***** is grounded for a year Probably is a virus problem, he only speaks to his friends online! Jane xxx |

Lol very good Actually, it's easier in here because I've never been able to smoke at work. I'm just going to have to fill the weekend with tons of activities to tire myself out I guess. I'm going to visit a friend's new twins for a start! How are you doing today? Hanging in there? Jane xxx |

Don't think about smoking much anymore... just a zinger craving/thought once in a while... but I just kinda chuckle to myself and shake my head. Don't think I'll ever go into denial about smoking ever again... but then I've also learned... Never say never... lol | |

Spikey haircut. I like it...a fiesty chick. Let us know how it went with the kids. Bet they will be proud and relieved. I dont know if my son is proud because he thinks i am stupid to have ever started but i know darn well he is relieved. Kids now are much more educated to harms of smoking and i thing my smoking was real scary to him. I am glad he isnt scared anymore. You are so right about the 'kitcheny testament' too. Secretly i am really enjoying my newfound domesticity. :tongue2: |
