hey. first time here. been smoking for 13 years give or take. :dead: have 2 kids, one with asthma. i'm diabetic. doc. said MUST stop smoking. tried for 2 days cold turkey. thought i had lost my mind. :cussing: looking for support. already read some of the great advice already posted. i wonder if i'll have any hair left when i reach 7 days of no smokes!!!!!

Congratulations on your decision to quit!

Have you tried the patch or any other form of support? Granted, it's great if you can do it cold turkey, but, you don't have to go bonkers, LOL!
Keep coming and letting us know how it's going. We care.

hi. wanted to try the patch but figured it would take longer and just replace a bad habit with a crutch. i'm so stbborn that most times when i decide to do something it's done. not so easy this time. lost it about 2 this am smoked 1. grrrrrrrr!

back to square one!

Hi JML,
I quit August 23. I just ended my patches about a week ago.
IMO, the patches are the way to go. That, AND drinking so much water I float. AND red hot fire balls!

This is my 4th try at quitting, so I sure hope I stay quitted...

Good luck, you CAN do this!
