| Member | Tomorrow is the day! Hi there everybody. Well I am glad to see this support for quitting smoking is here. I have chosen Saturday, October 30 as my quit date for the cigarettes. I had quit for 13 months and started up again last December. I am gonna try it again, one day at a time, or one hour at a time whatever it takes. I lost both my parents to lung cancer and I don't want to go that way. I want to get up and breath easy in the morning and not have the smoker's hack and to sleep better at night. I want to not have the cigarettes as a defense to my emotions. I would like to go up 2 or 3 flights of stairs at work and not be winded right away. I want to live a long and healthy life and see my son grow up. He is 9, which is the same age I was when my father died. I am 39 now. I just wanted to post this here as I think I am gonna need lots of support. Thanks for letting me share. Love, Karen |
