Buy a New Car? Tally up the money you'll earn by quitting. Start a money jar with the money you save by not buying cigarettes. Every day, put your tobacco dollars in the jar. You might find that jar filling up faster than you'd ever imagined. A pack-a-day smoker invests about $150 per month in their addiction, or $1,800 a year. Do you smoke two packs a day? Double that to $300 each month! What kind of car could you afford with that amount of cash? Well, I don't know where THEY live, but, in RI, a pack averages over $5. $5 times 365 is, (ummmm, do the math, ok? I teach history!  ) Two packs means over $3650. (I found the calculator! LOL!)Ummm, guess they used the same figures afterall! Damn, I hate math!  Anyway, I hope this helps! Shalom!
