The quick tips are really helpful. I gave up smoking about a month ago now. Smoking 40/50 a day was scaring me. Woke up one day and decided i wasnt going to do it anymore. Although it wasnt really planned i had been worrying about it ever since i cleaned up from heroin/methadone 2 yrs ago so it wasnt totally spontaneous either. Been reading your quick tips and have limited my social situtations to only as long as i can handle. Being in recovery it is important for me not to isolate but sometimes just touching base with people for half hour is enough. Get out early and the cravings dont overwhelm me. I have been letting friends know before hand that my visits will be short. Also thanks to your tips i have noticed my carbohydrate/sugar consumption going up considerably. With awareness comes a little care. Thanks Evanna. |
