Well, I had 7 days, got stressed out and decided to buy a pack. I am discovering that this is much like alcohol. I cannot moderate. Period. Back to day one today.

It's day 100! This is a personal best (excluding pregnancy which doesn't count). I've lost track of how many times I have gone back in the 2week-2 month range. Not this time.

here are the stats
Money saved: $1493
Life regained: 597 hours
Cigs not smoked: 3980

The best part is that I've not gained a single pound over this. Part of the reason may be because with that method I used a person is told when they have a craving what they really want is a glass of water or a deep breath and not a cig. Sometimes I will catch myself doing a deep breathing thing but I don't feel a craving for a cig.

I started taking Yoga too as a way to have a "thing" I look forward to that "helps" me.

Keepa Go!

3 whole days and facing my first weekend of breaking non work routine.

I have smoked off and on since I was a teenager quitting sometimes for a year or so here and there.

In less than a month I will celebrate my 2 year anniversary sober. Pretty proud of that.
Unfortunately I think I have used smoking as a substitute for some deviant or rewarding " fun" instead of drinking the past two years. Justified it in my mind.

Crazy thing is I am an endurance athlete that competes in some pretty intense cycling events! I know makes no sense. But again....I think it has been my "high" to substitute in instead of booze the past two years.
So anyway 3 days free. All these firsts now to work through to never have any again.

Can it be done?
If you woulda told me I would be sitting here 23 months ago I would not have had a drink, I don't know if I woulda taken that bet!

It's been 5 days for me now. I'm nervous because I have slipped up on the weekend on previous quit attempts. I can't do much errand running, because I'm trying to follow doctors orders and rest my foot.

I haven't had coffee in 5 days and I'm having a glass of wine now, but no drinking alcohol/coffee right now. Good grief, if I could only talk to my younger self.....

Time to kick the smokes for good. I was probably smoking 3-4 days a week. The past 6 months. I'm done.
24 hours smoke free for me please!
