Congrats on your 5 months Gettingsmarter! You have been a huge inspiration to me. I've been just behind you with 133 days or about 4 + months!
So awesome to not be stinky, smoky, sick or out of breath from smoking! Such a beautiful feeling to call myself a NONSMOKER!!!!!
Thanks to everyone on this thread!

Day 49 for me!! I'm soo thrilled! Hasn't been that long but I now identify myself as a non smoker! Just never in my wildest dream could of imagined getting to this point!

Midnight tonight will mark 2 years and 5 months cigarette & nicotine free for me.
My previous longest record was 1 year and 11 months. It feels good to be surpassing that. Sometimes, recovery doesn't go in a straight line. It can be almost kind of strange how it works. When I started smoking again after that last long stretch, I was at a VERY low point in my life and I felt so depressed. My inner strength to do anything was so low. It took me just over a year to quit for real again. And here I am now!!!
I am so grateful that I have made it this far. Staying quit really isn't hard for me at this point. But I know it would be IMPOSSIBLE for me if I had even just one. I have been down that road and I don't want to get back on the merry-go-round of start-stop-start-stop-ad nauseum ever again.
24 more for me.

I've quit the drinking nearly nine months ago and it's time to lay down and leave behind the nasty nicotine habbit of chewing tobacco I adopted over 20 years ago.
I know it's gonna be a fight, I'm in hour one right now and tomorrow is day one.
You and this forum have helped me turn my life around and walk away from drinking, I need your help again, I need you to hold me accountable.
I am going to dig deep like never before, I've been clinging to this habit since not drinking so it will take my whole focus for a while.
Tomorrow is day one. Tell me some tips, tell me how good you feel being nicotine free! That will give me something to look forward too.
