24-Hour NO Nicotine/Smoking Club - Part 5
Hello,
It's time for me to give up smoking, I've smoked for over 35 years. I retired from drinking in March 2013, but for me this will be tougher. I still have a few from the packs I bought yesterday, so tomorrow will be day 1.

I quit smoking cigs yesterday around noon ET. Maybe I am jumping the gun because I still have a couple hours until it is 24. Sleep was choppy last night, but I am dealing with it. At least I didn't get the bad nightmares yet.
OP- Welcome! Way to go on the decision to quit smoking. The first days can be rough, but it gets so much better. And you're not jumping the gun, we welcome everyone here, even those that are still in the stages of planning to quit.
Another 24 for me.

Another 24 here. Things have been going great actually. I feel much more productive/energetic now that I cut out the smokes, and that was the only reason I was smoking them! Maybe it is just the relief from actually quitting instead of stressing about quitting in the future. Or maybe I am just weird. I'll take what I can get either way!
My sleep is still choppy, but it isn't too bad. I am still getting plenty of hours of sleep in.
