WOOO HOOO!!! Teach is an un-smoker!!!! And congratulations to you too Nod!!! I wasn't missing, I was just busy smelling like a rose, LOLOL. I still have my difficult moments/days, but gardening is still my cure all. If i can keep my hands dirty and my mind clean, I don't smoke. And looking at those pretty flowers reminds me that I don't want to go through life smelling like an ashtray....ewww! So hop on the wagon, grab yourself some roses, and just keep on smelling good and saving that money for a good cause....YOU.

Thank you Eddie...I needed that right now! I live above storefronts, and there are 3 cafes underneath me. I can smell people smoking out there. Time to clean my apartment, top to bottom!!!! Slowly!!!! I also live above a motorcycle training school...man, it's loud here!

You're entirely welcome. Just be glad you don't LIVE with a smoker! My husband smokes at home and sometimes that smell is SO enticing. Are you using the patch, did I see that somewhere around here? The patches made quitting pretty easy for me, along with the gum. Just hang in there, OK? Maybe you could come help clean my house and we could not smoke together. Hahaha. —Eddie

Dan - Yep, June 1st everything went smoke-free. Restaurants already were, but now you can't smoke anywhere. Figured what better excuse than to quit? It was already awkward enough trying to find a place to eat where I could smoke...and frankly, I got sick of having to do that. I'm looking forward now to being able to eat wherever I want. You can still smoke outdoors on patios...so that does make it a little more difficult when going out. But once the weather turns, it'll be easier to hit the bar and not be tempted. Congrats on 60 days!!! Eddie - I am using the patch, last time I used Zyban and quit for 8 months! I don't find the patch as easy, but it's better for me. Had too many side effects with the zyban. Sure made cigs taste horrid though! You must have enormous willpower to live with a smoker! Wow. How do you do it?

WOW!! look at all the action around here I'm so glad to see all the new unsmokers joing the crew here. It's been 40 days for me now, and you can all do it. smoking just plain old S*CKS thats all there is to it. there is nothing positive about putting chemicals into your body that will decress your life expectancy almost indeffinatley. never mind the nasty smell, yellow teeth and fingers, oh and the money, who can forget about all the money we have spent on cigarettes. Hang tough, your all worth it!! mike

| Hey, Mike & SWC!! Sister, Zyban, aka Wellbutrin, made me smoke more! I went off it around the same time I quit smoking. I used patches and gum and I even kept smoking some when I first started the patch. I tapered off cigs first, then the patches, then the gum finally. I guess I was sick enough from smoking that once I got off the nicotine, it didn't appeal to me anymore, so my husband's smoking doesn't bother me that much. It's kind of that way with other substances, too. I've had enough! I just don't want to smoke, drink, shoot, or snort any more. Does this make sense? Love, Eddie
