| Grateful Member | 79 Months without a cigarette I cannot believe it has been that long. The only reason I know that exact months is because of another site that posts every anniversary, every day and it said I was smoke free that long. LOL. I am very grateful though to have my lungs clean and getting healthier every day. Karen |

MaggieMay your 7 weeks is awesome. We all start from day 1 and work out way up from there. I am proud of you. Thank you DaveO and Firehazard for the kind words. I appreciate them. Vanilla you can do this once you put your mind to it and are ready. I still remember the first day of this quit and wondering if I could make it through the night. I did, and many nights after that. I wake up each morning and choose not to smoke. Online support is great but if you have support at home or friends supporting you it is great too! We will support you here all we can. You can do this! Karen |

| Grateful Member | I am still smoke free and will have 7 years in less than 2 weeks. I am still amazed sometimes that I have not smoked in this long but am truly grateful at the same time. I have been losing the weight I put on after I quit smoking now and am almost back at the weight I was when I quit. I exercise easier, I breathe better, and life is just so much healthier without the cigarettes polluting my lungs. It is one of the best decisions I have made, along with quitting drinking, in a long time. The weight loss is my goal now and I want to lose 35 more pounds. Then I will be a sober, smoke free, and slender gal LOL.
