| Member | Trying to Quit!
I've been trying to quit. I'm going on a trip to India this summer and I'm not allowed to smoke with the organization I'm going with so I need to quit. I did quit for a bit but then I had a slip up ended up drinking and since then I've been smoking more not a lot, like I smoke most days and maybe 1-3 which is a lot less then before, but still I can't seem to get rid of this last little bit.

Have you tried a stop smoking aid? I use one to two a day to help me quit and it's working. I use the lozengers. They are kind of nasty that is why I do not want more than one or two a day LOL,but it helps when the cravings get real bad.

We had cleaned our ash trays, put away our ciggys and I had a stop smoking buddy (my husband). Try it for a day at a time. Do not think about next week, just today that you will use your gum instead of ciggys. One day might lead inot the next.

ya well I smoked today, but I will try that tomorrow. I think once I run out of smokes this time I will not buy a new pack. I really don't want to throw it out because I don't want to waste money. My brother smokes so I can't get rid of the ash tray that's outside. It's hard because I smell it on him and people at school.

Pinkgurl.....try not picking up that first morning smoke tomorrow. Thats how I did it...because I found that if I picked up the first one...i would keep smoking. Just go about your business and dont smoke the first one. Then, go hour to hour. Just try it. See how that goes. It worked for me. Good luck.

![]() I've quit pain killers, coke, and crystal meth, yet cigarettes are one hill I can't climb over! I think I need to be hypnotized. | |

| Member | Congratulations! I quit three years ago, and it is one of the best things I've ever done for myself. You cannot imagine the freedom! Days 3-5 were probably hardest, but I kept telling myself I didn't want to go through this again. I joined a very, very busy smoking cessation forum and used Chantix. Godd luck. This, too, shall pass. |
