| Ask yourself..........
...........the next time you have a craving. What is this I'm feeling?......where is the pain? The fact is if you're honest there is no pain! Think about what you are feeling....it's more like a hunger but there is no pain!! Once you have admitted there is no pain....don't dwell on the feeling. If you are negative and dwell on the feeling it will get worse, you will feel dreadful, and the more you dwell on it the worse it will get till you can't stand it anymore and give in. Stay positive, think of all the benefits of stopping, think how better you feel, think of the money you are saving, think how much of an example you will be to others. Keep busy, acknowledge the feeling and think...right! that's the pang, that's all it is... a feeling. Tell yourself... I will stay positive and keep busy till it passes. If you can stay calm, eat when you're hungry, don't get over tired...in other words all the things that can make you irritable, have a positive attitude and a will to succeed then you will conquer this. Good Luck Everyone! |

Kooks thank you so much for the outstanding post! ![]() Proper mindset is so important to not allow ourselves to fool ourselves into thinking we need a smoke. I am remembering how those last smokes were tightening my chest and making me so comfortable. It just was not a pleasant feeling at all, it only increased stress. |
