| We've all learned how to change behaviors to remain quit. We learn the 4 D's; Distract yourself, do something different. Delay, Drink water, and Deep breathing. Then, the three R's; Remind self of the reason for your quit Refuse to give into negative thoughts. Rehearse for difficult situations. But, there's one more I've not seen posted, so, I'll mention it here, and list my own. And that is, remain grateful; that's right, count our blessings. And the first thing on my list was being grateful for all the positive things I'm doing for myself with my quit. Cleaning out my lungs. Exercising, so, more stamina whiter teeth breathing better Skin looks better The return of my singing voice clean smelling clothes, hair, hands, house and car. more time to do things more money Bills paid on time, cuz I'm not burning it away. Rugs without holes. Clothing without holes. Anyway, gratitude works for me. Remembering all that I have as a result of quitting helps me stay the course when I'm struggling. What do you have to be grateful for? ![]() Keep the quit and post before you puff! ![]() Shalom! |
