| same planet...different world | A question for patch people
heehee *patch people* hey - did/does anyone else have an ache where the patch ... is? it doesn't itch ... it aches. not bad ... just enough to be annoying. feels like a sore muscle, no matter where I put it.

I love it! 'Patch People', LOL!! I did the patch years ago; getting ready to resume it in a few weeks. I don't remember itching or feeling sore in that area. I did have a red spot, but that would go away within an hour or two of removal. Do you perhaps rub the patch constantly, maybe without even realizing it? See I did that everytime I got an urge. It's like I was trying to grind it in me for some relief, LOL! Just wondering if you might be doing the same and perhaps rubbing a bit harder than you may realize...hence, the soreness. If not, then perhaps you're having an allergic reaction to it. How long have you been on the patch?

Yes, I had a bit of an itch. Nothing really bothersome, though. And considering the alternative, which was smoking, it was well worth it! ![]() A slight red patch where I wore the patch went away within an hour or so, at best. Shalom!

Now i'm curious, i just Googled it and this came up from Drug Digest Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your prescriber or health care professional if they continue or are bothersome): •constipation or diarrhea ~ I knew i wasn't crazy!!!!!! •flushing •increased appetite •irritability •joint or muscle ache •mild itching, burning, or tingling for the first hour after applying •sleep disturbance

As for the •sleep disturbance... I would sleep my best sleep when I was using the patch. I didn't have any pain at the site I would wear the patch but I could tell where it was for about 24 hours after removing it. A tingle of sorts.

Way to go! I knew a nurse (who should know better) that tried patches. She got to feeling really weak and lightheaded...turned out that every time she craved a cigarette, she would put another patch on. We found about 10 patches on her!!! Can you say nicotine toxicity?
