Quitting again, for good!

I have been having breathing problems that wound up giving me a full plown panic attack yesterday. I felt like I was suffocating. Right now, I have been about 38 hours with out a smoke.
My chest feels extremely tight and I can't take a full breath. Any one else experience this?
Any way, I am really going to give this my est shot.
Thanks everyone.

Wascally

Yep. I have the feeling of not being able to take a full breath. I just have to relax myself and tell myself I'm not going to stop breathing. However, I only did this after I talked to my dr about it and had my heart checked (heart disease runs in my family).

If you are concerned about it, maybe see the doc. They can do a spirometer test to check your breathing levels...Quick and Painless.

Oh BTW---congrats on quitting!

if what you're dealing with is NOT a lung capacity issue, then i dealt with (and continue to deal with) the exact same thing. during my quit (from dip) i had severe anxiety issues to the point where i took myself to the ER twice! i still suffer from shortness of breath and tightness in my chest, but now it's due to acid reflux/gerd. feel like my son is sitting on my chest some nights when i'm lying in bed.

go get yourself checked out, but i'd guess it's probably just anxiety due to quitting.
