Angry Getting Grouchy

Anyone have any ideas on what I could possibly do to get rid of this grouchy feeling? Is this normal? I am just so irritable lately. All I think about is smoking, and I get so mad that I can't, because I know I shouldn't. Now that I've said it out loud (so to speak), I feel slightly better. I am really stressing over it though. Thanks

Hi, Amanda!

Well, I've got to say, I experienced grouchy feelings too, when I quit...
And when I smoked! LOL!

I think we need to do a few things, from my experience.
First, look at what's bothering us. Is it something we can fix? If so, fix it. If now, find a way to minimize the irritability. No, chopping off his head won't work,

Then, remember to continue to take good care of ourselves. Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I found exercise to be very helpful in dealing with anger, frustration and irritability. Sweat it out!

I hope some of this is helpful. You're doing GREAT! So, keep up the good work!

And remember to keep the quit and post before you puff!

Shalom!

Yep, being grouchy is just one of those things we experience in life. Along with History's suggestions, which are wonderful, I would also add taking a postive perspective on things. Try and see the good in everything..that really helped minimize the "glaring" hostility I felt....and it didn't last a real long time either.

I also changed the I can't smoke to I don't want to smoke. Tell me I can't do something and I'll show you just how well I can...even if it's me telling me that!!! Kinda competitive like that, I suppose.

Blessings and keep up the great work,
Jen

Thank You, your support is much needed.

It's been:
1 month, six days, 14 hours, 9 minutes and 13 seconds. 204 cigarettes not smoked, saving $59.53. Life saved: 18 hours, 40 minutes.
