Thanks for the congrats. Boy the time goes by quickly. I am still smoke free though and loving it. My brother-in-law, who has had two heart attacks in the past few years is in the hospital for overexerting angina or something along those lines. He quit smoking I think but might still chew. I feel bad for him and his wife but do know it made me grateful that I am not smoking anymore. Thank God. I have not smoked since September 8, 2005. Quit days 621. I have saved $4,975.79. Life saved 3 Months, 4 Weeks, 22 hours and 26 minutes. Karen

Congrats to you Historyteach. That is awesome. Yep, post before you puff is a great plan. I go to another site for quitting smoking also and they have kind of the same rule and they like you to wait for 3 replies and read them before you go smoke. Whatever works and it is one day at a time for me just like with my sobriety although I smoked a heck of a lot longer then I drank LOL. Have a great day. Karen

my philosophy for quitting chew has been very similar to yours on smoking... take things day by day. i'm almost a year quit and i STILL don't think about forever... it't too big of a concept for me to get my head around... NO TOBACCO TODAY. it's worked for the last 317 days chewie
