It sure is....everyday we can make it clean or sober is a remarkable. Learning to live life on lifes terms does take work..esp when we cant control people places or things. Right?

Yeah, I think it's starting to pass. I've been wound pretty tight for about the last 24 hours, but it feels like I'm starting to relax a bit. The worst seems to be over; at least for this round. lol Thanks for your support, everyone. I appreciate it. |

I too keep doing the same thing the next day, esp if it worked to keep me sober or clean that day. 90 days also is awesome kimmie. And should also be acknowledged or recognized.... I also find that sharing what is bothering me ...like bringing it out in the open ...but not too much as to air out my laundry in public as they say...but to get feed back which could be helpful in helping me stay calm or at peace while im going thru a tough time that day in recovery.... I was told often that i never have to go thru anything again in life by myself because there are many in recovery there to hep me and guide me and comfort me.... Try it ..it cant hurt to share.

Well, now the expletives have some substance behind them. The official crash was at 5 days, 8 hours even. Thinking positively, I haven't made it that long in about three years. I have to figure out how to see this coming next time. There is a way, obviously. I just need to plan for it and figure out what to do about it. There's nothing rational about it. None of my current "coping skills" helped. I just felt overwhelmed. |
