I went to the lung specialist yesterday. He still wants to do the tests for asthma, but, he was very VERY pleased about how my lungs were sounding! ![]() I spoke about my limited breath while singing. Asked if it was smoking damage from 36 years of smoking -- now quit One year, two months, one week, one day, 13 hours, 16 minutes and 0 seconds. That's 17382 cigarettes not smoked, saving $4,780.08. Life saved: 8 weeks, 4 days, 8 hours, 30 minutes. ![]() He said we'll see with the results of the test if I just had a hum - dinger of a viral infection which is almost gone, or if I have asthma tendencies which need to be treated. I gotta tell ya, since my doctor's assistant said it *may* be cancer that I was dealing with, this has been a REAL relief! LOL! Can we say understatement? LOL! Thanks for listening... Greatful for you all! ![]() Shalom!

So thankful that you decided to stop smoking Teach. You've inspired me to get and stay stopped and I'm sure countless others. Just knowing that you were up there ahead of me, helped me when things were tough...if she can do it....I can do it. I'm glad the backwards process of diagnosing (going from worst case to best) is continuing. Cancer is not a fun thing....I'm so thankful that has been ruled out. Nor is having COPD. I am very thankful that they have ruled out emphysema. Though asthma can be life threatening...it is much more managable than the others. Additionally, for some, asthma is not a life sentence. Continue with your non-smoking and there may be a chance that it will clear up. Great news, for sure!!! We've been praying for your good health!!! Keep doing a great job taking care of your body!!! Blessings, Jen |
