As a non Smoker...

I wrote this back when I first quit..thought I would share it..


As a non Smoker...
1. As a non smoker, I haved reduced my chances of having a heart attack, stroke, getting lung cancer or emphysema.

2. As a non smoker, I have reduced the chances of one of my children having a heart attack, stroke, getting lung cancer or emphysema.

3. As a non smoker, I have better smelling clothes, hair, breath and home.

4. As a non smoker, I climb stairs and walk without getting out of breath.

5. As a non smoker, I do not age as quickly as I did when I was smoking.

6. As a non smoker, I am free of my morning cough.

7. As a non smoker, I have reduced the number of coughs, colds and earaches Isaac will have.

8. As a non smoker, I have more energy to pursue physical activities I enjoy.

9. As a non smoker, I have more money to buy clothes, food,things for my home, pay bills, to save, and spend on doing fun things with my kids.

10. As a non smoker, I have more control over my life.

11. As a non smoker, I do not stand outside in the rain looking like a looser.

12. As a non smoker, My self esteem is increasing..

13. As a non smoker, I am no longer embarrassed. I do not feel like a leper anymore.

14. As a non smoker, My teeth are in better shape and whiter and cleaner.

15. As a non smoker, I l feel pride in myself and my kids are proud of me because I took control of yet another addiction.

16. As a non smoker, I no longer feel guilty.

17. As a non smoker, I no longer supply my sons with cigerettes.

18. As a non smoker, I no longer worry about running out of smokes or money to buy smokes.

19. As a non smoker, I rarely crave for a cigerette..

20. As a non smoker, I no longer wish that I could quit!! I am thankful I HAVE quit.

21. As a non smoker, ALL men are now an option. ha ha

22. As a non smoker, People have stopped nagging me to quit.

23. As a non smoker, I no longer make my cat sick.

25. As a non smoker, I can smell and taste again.

26. As a non smoker, My mouth smells and tastes good.

27. As a non smoker, My hair and clothes smell good.

28. As a non smoker, I no need to look forward to receiving oxygen through a nasal tube.

29. As a non smoker, I will be able to play with my future grandchildren.

30. As a non smoker, I don't feel second class anymore

31. As a non smoker, I'll have made new friends that are choosing to live nicotine free online and at meetings.

32. As a non smoker, I am a good role model for my children.

Hi, I like your list. It looks like what the one smoking cessation group suggests, about writing a list for yourself. Writing a journal is another good one that I like to do. They have a lot of good information to read on their site too. I'm almost to day 7. Yeah!!
