Smile day 1

Hi aLL!
It is day 1 as of 1pm today! So almost 3 hours since my last cig. Is anyone going thru the steps with a sponsor regarding the smoking? Are there any women who do online sponsorship for smoking? I think it would be neat to do so. There are no Nicotine Anonymous meetings near me.I wish there were!!! God bless and good luck to all who have quit smoking and those who are gonna quit!
Becky

Way to go Becky!

You CAN do this!
You CAN!!!!!!

I know it helped me to make a list of all the reasons I wanted to quit...
And to carry lots of suckers and gum with me.

I'm on day 6 now and it IS getting easier.

Keep goin' Becky!
It will be so worth it in the end!

Becky,
I've been sober through AA for a number of years. Though there aren't any woman with quit smoking status here at meetings...there is a guy who has been stopped as long as I've been sober. So I use him as my non-smoking sponsor. I have used the steps to quit smoking this time. By the grace of God, I have been smoke free for almost 6 months!!!

Good luck Becky. This is where I truly learned keeping it in the moment and step 3 - TURNING it OVER!!!! Boy, I feel like I do those things 100%!!!!

I have been ussing the 1st 3 steps for smoking. Iam definitely poweless over them and my life is unmagageble. I do belive that God as I understandHim can restore me to sanity and remove urges to smoke and I have asked him every time i have a thought of a cigarette.
My f2f AA sponsor quit smoking 6 years ago but we decided to just stick to working the steps togethr on alcoholism

Sounds like you're doing wel, Becky. Never ceases to amaze me what we can pop into the "alcohol" slot on the steps. I'm encouraging my almost 10 year old daughter to start "using" the steps in her life...

Keep up the great work!!!
