Weekenders Thread 18-20th August. It's time to join the grown-ups!
I survived the eclipse. It was pretty anti climatic. I got some pictures of the cool shadows it made, though.
This one isn't mine, but it really captures the magic. Mine are similar - but I didn't capture a whole tree like that. The little smileys are the sun/moon eclipse through the leaves.

Hi, weekenders.
I've got my fridge delivered today!
Back to civilized world.
No eclipse at my part of the world. But pics are quite impressing.

Wow, that's an interesting article, Sao. Can't believe they cut and transported a wall to have it restored. Enjoy your manflu. "The condition shared by all males wherein a common illness (usually a mild cold) is presented by the patient as life-threatening. " - Urban Dictionary: man flu
MLD - I am very intrigued by your trip to Bali! I do hope you tell us all about it when you get back. I may have to look into something like that... Are you going by yourself? I looked online about some retreats there where they encourage solo women travelers.
Thank you guys, I have been home for a hour and am somwhat improved. It is a long time since I had a cold, slightly surprising considering I commute via the Underground. At times like these I am glad I quite smoking 29 years ago.
Naturally I milked it for all it was worth at work, no-one was allowed to remain unaware of my martyrdom.

Sao, you'll have to get some of those nose-and-mouth disposable masks for riding the train.
I see people wearing them in public every now and then and I wonder what the deal is. Are they trying to not catch something, or are they so benevolent that they are trying to protect the world from some illness they themselves have?
hahahaha. yeah.
Hope you find someone to make chicken soup for you.

lol, I saw a lady at the grocery just now wearing a yellow one, dangling from one ear like some weird fashion accessory. I don't get it. That can't possibly do anything if the mask is laying across your shoulder, right?
