I'm in!
I've been doing a lot of adulting this week and doing some medical stuff. It's good to get it done, and self care is so important. Being a grown up is tough sometimes but it pays off in the long run. Life becomes manageable. ..stress is reduced...and we become happier people.
No plans yet for the weekend. ..I know rest will be on the agenda!

Sao, that is one of the most English things I have ever read on here, buddy!

At the very least, eating five peaches should keep you on a, ahem, regular schedule for the next day or so.
Coincidentally, on my normal Monday evening grocery store run to pick up snacks for yet another week in a hotel, I bought some uber-ripe peaches as well, and they were sweet, juicy, and delicious. $1.99 (£1.54) per pound. I think the Northern Hemisphere really is at “peak peach” right now.

Have a great, sober weekend, everyone!

I am reluctantly in......
Don't feel like being a grown up at the moment- still feels very, very hard at times.
I don't much want to be a baby either so it looks like facing reality will have to be done. Feels like I am on a very scary rollercoaster- I still need to close my eyes for the bad bits.

I have a killer Rocky Horror shirt I'll wear. I'll leave the dressing up to the younger crowd. I'll have to remember to bring rice, squirt gun, newspaper and a lighter. lol hee hee hee

In acknowledging the fear you have already faced down one of the bad bits DA. You can get through this.

Desert Dawg your assessment was correct, I have definitely been regular this evening. Several times.

Have a good evening sunshine

Bedtime!

Morning everyone!

Sao, glad nature followed its course!

Purpiks, it s definitely possible! Actually ly sobering up did that to me, brought me back to a pre-drinking state of mind of almost 20 years ago! Plus once you set all your bills to direct debt you are pretty much sorted with your responsibilities!

Sunny Friday in the UK, happy days.

Mr P

That's what I do. Every morning is most important, and every evening too. Several times on the weekends. Keeps me focused and strong.

I'm in for another sober weekend. The best -- and only -- option for me!

Did some serious adulting yesterday ... an annoying little postscript to closing my mother's estate. It'll take a while.

Wishing everyone who is new here all the best as you embark on the best decision you'll ever make. Remember this: Sobriety and recovery ARE within your reach.

Take care. Have a peachy day, Saoutchik.

I'm in, late.

Busy being an adult, getting ready for my trip to Bali next week! So excited!
Lots of little details to take care of at work and at home before I go. I'll be ready for this vacation, for sure! This will be my first big sober vacation like, ever. No worries - it's a women's recovery retreat, so no booze there. And I'm not the least bit tempted to drink in airports or on planes, as opposed to past vacations. I'll have plenty of snacks, reading material, guided meditation on my phone, and music along. LONG flights, but paradise once I get there. Trip of a lifetime! All made possible by sobriety.

That's so exciting MLD. My inner scuba diver is conjuring up lots of images.

A recovery retreat for women sounds interesting. I can't even get myself to go to a recovery weekend 20 miles away.

Have fun! Sarongs!
