Here's to my day 1
Proud of you, Babye.
I had a horrible headache too - and assorted aches & pains. Everything got better. I'm glad you slept - that's one thing I wasn't able to do in the early days.

I'm glad you went to the doctor, and are onto Day two. You should start to feel a little better each day, and like everyone has said, you never need to feel like this again. Check in with us throughout the weekend.
Day 3. Feeling crampy and my nerves are absolutely shot. I managed to eat a half a potato last night which was the first solid food I've had in 2 weeks. Which leads me to believe that it can only get better from here. Today I am going fishing. Thank you everyone for the kind words of support. Together we can all do this for each other
Day 4
Day 4 and feeling kind of ok. Anxiety is my only problem right now. I'm sleeping ok, no more nausea, No more headache, No more yucky feelings. It's just this anxiety and agoraphobia. It's the worst. I wish so badly I could have a shot of vodka to take the edge off. So instead I'll make a lasagna.
Lasagna is good
For me, the anxiety lessened about a week or so in. I was on my way to work, the morning was pleasant, I had the windows down, and it just struck me that things were going to be okay. Life would still happen, but for that moment, I was free of the addiction, free from my own conflicted thoughts ... just free.
I can't speak to the agoraphobia; I'm just a garden variety introvert in that respect

I've been there. A lot of us have, which is why this is such a great place. The sweating and insomnia will go away. The aches and pains, too. The appetite and energy and optimism will return. Just keep alcohol from interfering with the process!
Try taking the edge off with some deep breathing exercises or find some quick guided meditation videos on YouTube.

If your anxiety does not lessen over time, and you are house-bound, you might want to discuss antidepressant medication with your doctor. It has totally eliminated panic attacks for me. I don't know if you have ever tried that, but I know it is not effective while drinking. The ADs I mean.
