Alcohol free for 1 month!
Hey there, my name is Marc Douglas!
I am happy to announce you all that I managed to stay away from alcohol for 1 month already.
I had a lot of problems and it nearly ruined my life...
My boss caught me drinking at work 4 times within 3 weeks and threatened to suspend me if it happens one more time.
Went home and told my wife, who also wasn't too pleased with it, due to the fact that poor woman kept trying over and over with different methods to make me quit drinking. She did a lot of research, tried to add me to Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) programs quite a few times, without any results.
It looked as if I'm possessed, as if my demons got the best of me every single day. I thank God every single day that I wasn't a violent person. But the idea of passing through life, doing absolutely nothing, other than drinking my way through it, was destroying me. I was about to try pretty much everything people were suggesting to me. I wanted to be the husband my wife deserves, to make her happy and to see her smiling every single day.
I tried pretty much everything and nothing had any success on me, every single time I was sober for 2 days, the following 4-5 days I would have drank so much, I could barely stand on my own two feet.
Then she found it. After all the research she's done, my amazing wife managed to find something online that I had to buy. It was a program that was supposed to make me quit drinking. I was extremely skeptical at first, due to the fact that I really hated this kind of programs and it wouldn't have been the only one I've tried unsuccessfully.
She kept insisting and insisting and insisting until I finally gave in. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't expensive or anything. Let's say I would've spent the same amount of money I paid for the program in a single night out. But I am an extremely skeptical person. (Please do not ask me to post the link in here, as it may look as advertising, and more than sure I don't wanna get banned from this amazing forum. Worst case scenario, if anyone is interested can send me a private message and I will give you a link for it. Note that it's not free!)
My entire life changed after, I managed to quit drinking from day one and I have been sober ever since. It was exactly 34 days ago to be more precise! Yes, I am counting them!
I am so happy to be sober, I can see the world with different eyes and my wife looks at me in a certain way, I've rarely seen that kind of happiness on her face! Brings a lot of joy into my life.
I've learned a lot of things while I had alcohol problems and the most important one is that you can ruin your family, you can lose your job or you can even get sick,or worst. What for? For Alcohol? Totally not worth it.
I probably bored you with my long post, but I am so excited to share my achievement with every single person around the world! My life is a different one and I am an alcohol free man!
Thank you for taking your time to read it!
