almost finished my oats - it takes longer without the honey for some reason, just thawed strawberries and walnuts... YUM!
and I thought of something as I drank my first cup of coffee. It wasn't as good as yesterday's cup. I brewed it exactly the same. Except today was Folger's Classic Roast - on sale at kostko for 3.29/lb. Yesterday was Maxwell House Original. Since Queen Brain drinks several pots of coffee a day, we'd be broke if I ground the good stuff all the time... anywho............

coffee poll: What kind of coffee do you drink (if), do you grind your own, buy what's on sale like I do lately. Funny that the grinder is next to the brewer on the counter...

Welp. time to put on the shoes and get to it. Gonna pull all the radishes and later cut some greens to take along...

I was thinking of the Sunday Morning Polka... but we haven't had a sing along since I can remember. So I'll leave the Sunday Polka up to MLD or Ven...

As a tribute to my upcoming trip, everybody sing along!

Good morning everyone-
i'm on my new macbook air...love it.
welcome home Weasel! I love going away and traveling, but i always feel the best part is coming back home. Home is total comfort and safety for me. My comfort zone!
Pork roast is in the crock pot out on the patio. Hopefully my dogs won't get any ideas. It's supposed to be a scorcher today with temp around 100.
Time for a dog walk and then I don't know what. I love weekends.

I Like Trader Joe's organic Wake Up Blend coffee Brain.I get a big 1lb 10oz container and it lasts quite a while. its around $10. I grind it there since my grinder broke and I haven't replaced it yet. Besides, I hate the noise that coffee grinders make = very irritating first thing in the morning. Although I've heard that the new ones are quieter.

Morning gang!

I tried to catch up and think I've got a small grasp on the goings on around here!

This weekend and most of next week will be super busy ....I'll have to go to work to get a break lol!! The nugget whose parents have split up is here this week and his dad has to travel for business so I've got him till Wednesday night! Who needs a gym when you've got a 16 month old?!?

Have fun Sao!

The record for distance covered is 5,411 miles (8,800 kms). That is 225+ mph average for 24 hours including fuel stops and driver changes.

They won't beat that this year

I chose a bad day to wear my white trousers

I buy a store brand of organic already-ground coffee. It's ok, not great. When I'm feeling fancy I go to the local co-op and buy whole beans there - they roast it themselves. I do also like Trader Joe's coffee, but I don't have one all that close to me. I stock up when I get to one, though.

One 80 year old? Only if I live to be 160. When the wife asks me what I want for my 60th birthday, the answer will be of course, "Two thirty year olds..."

As I was putting the pressure washer away it was requested by neighbor... so I didn't have to put it away. Plus I got my plant watering duties taken care of for the week...
Pork on stove and spaghetti... she likes 'pasta' with nothing on it. NOTHING!
So I am baby sitting the stove...

And I just realized it's only Saturday here............. time flies when you're having fun I suppose...

Sao, any day is a bad day to wear white pants

Trach, I need one of those just like I need one of these...

What are the chances of getting 'fresh' little neck clams somewhere around Gatlinburg Tennessee?

Ok, I decided to take a break from the "to-do" list. Since going sober I've been experiencing super uber anxiety over the most mundane tasks. The stress really seems to hit me on the weekend....perhaps it builds during the week and I just don't realize it or perhaps its just a byproduct of the fact that I never did anything without a drink in hand and therefore remained relaxed while tackling previously mentioned mundane tasks. Unsure at this juncture but I'm chalking it up to a stage in learning to live sober. At least I hope its just a stage. Did anyone else experience this? I've tried to ease up some stress on myself by only having my grandson overnight every other weekend....but here I sit grandchildless and still stressed. Not immobilizing but nearing Xanax level.....which sucks cuz I'm out of it. Coffee-I am known at work as the coffee *****.....I've been called worse. Any ole kind works for me, just bring on the joe!
LB-your old job sounds like my old job hour/shift wise. That's where my nasty coffee addiction started!
